Ibanez Soundgear Series basses have been providing players with modern alternatives to classic bass designs since 1987. They have been popular thanks to their ultra-lightweight, smaller body with two cutouts and ergonomic shape, very fast neck with excellent playability and sophisticated electronics. This model from the SR Mezzo series impresses above all with a two-inch shorter gauge than is usual for instruments in this series. The shorter menza gives the bass a unique feel and more enjoyable playability, while not robbing you of the massive bass that the SR series is known for. The body is made of poplar and, together with the maple neck and fingerboard, provides a well-balanced sound, ably supported by electronics with a two-band EQ and Ibanez Dynamix pickups in PJ configuration.

Chrome hardware with precision mechanics and a solid B15 headstock guarantee stable tuning even when playing for long periods of time, factory strings are strung .045 - .130 thick. Last but not least, the SRMD series impresses with its unmissable colours, which are hardly seen in this price range.
